Sewer Lining

Restore Your Pipes with Sewer Lining from TCI Companies

There’s nothing more problematic than a leaky or backed up sewer and plumbing system. Leaky and backed up pipes can lead to other issues, causing damage to your yard and home if left unchecked. However, replacing your pipes and sewage system can be a messy and complicated process, requiring extensive excavation and digging. If only there were an alternative!

Rather than rely on complicated pipe replacement, your sewage system can be repaired and restored with sewer lining installed by TCI Plumbing. If you wish to save your plumbing, cured-in-place-pipe lining (CIPP) is one of the best, most effective ways to do so. Call TCI Plumbing today to request a quote.

What is Cured-in-Place-Pipe Lining?

Cured-in-place-pipe lining (CIPP) is a unique plumbing repair alternative significantly less disruptive than standard pipe and sewage repair. Rather than removing and replacing the pipes, CIPP lining is inserted into existing pipes and cured to form a new, watertight seal. Essentially, it creates a pipe within a pipe.

Installing CIPP lining involves cleaning out the old pipes with special equipment and then inserting an epoxy resin-saturated liner into the damaged section of the sewer line. The liner is then inflated and pushed against the walls of the old pipe. Next, the liner is exposed to ultraviolet light, helping it harden and cure within a few minutes. This process effectively seals cracks or holes in the original pipe, creating a durable and long-lasting solution.

The Advantages of CIPP

As sewer lining, CIPP is a top choice for property owners wishing to rehabilitate their pipes more easily. Thanks to CIPP lining, sewer lines can be repaired without extensive digging or excavation and at a more affordable rate. As such, the benefits of utilizing CIPP lining include:

  • Minimally Invasive – Most plumbing repairs require disruption to a property’s landscape to reach the broken or leaky pipes. However, installing CIPP lining doesn’t require such disruption, allowing you to preserve your landscape during plumbing repairs.
  • Durable & Long-Lasting – Believe it or not, the epoxy resin used in CIPP lining is significantly more durable than other pipe materials like clay, cast iron or PVC. This means you can expect your pipes to be even stronger and last longer after adding CIPP lining.
  • Simple & Cost-Effective – Applying CIPP lining to a pipe’s interior is straightforward and can be completed within hours. The process lowers labor costs, and there is little downtime while your system is being repaired.
  • Versatile – There are few instances where CIPP lining can’t resolve a property’s plumbing and sewage concerns. The only times when CIPP lining is less effective are when used with Orangeburg pipes (a material used in the 1970s) and pipes that have deteriorated beyond saving.
  • Environmentally Friendly – Our CIPP lining is styrene-free, emits no odors, and only requires ultraviolet light to harden and cure. Furthermore, CIPP lining minimizes the leakage that sometimes occurs during repair, making it an incredibly environmentally friendly repair option.
